PROF.DR.  IOAN MANZATU PRESIDENT & CEO

With more than forty years of biotechnical and nuclear physical research and close to thirty years in political and clinical management, Prof. Dr. Ioan Manzatu, is an outstanding personality of the Romanian scientific life. Early in his career, he distinguished himself in positions of lecturer associate professor and professor.

Later he held various important positions such as Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Atomic Physics, Special Assistant to the President of the State Committee for Nuclear Energy, Scientific Advisor for Disarmament to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director General of the National Council for Science and Technology, Scientific Consultant for two United Nation Organizations: UNESCO and UNEP, Member of the Scientific Board of the National Institute for Biotechnologies of Romania and a six-month tenure as Vice-President of Romania (1990). He is currently the President of two companies in Romania, BIOTEHNOS S.A and TEHMAN S.A., both founded to use basic and applied research to create a range of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics based, exclusively, on natural ingredients, and the President of the BIOTECHMAN GmbH in Germany.

Professor Manzatu has written over 140 theoretical and experimental papers in atomic and nuclear physics, electronics, isotope applications, biophysics and biotechnology. He owns over 80 patents for discoveries in these fields. His first invention, the structured water, is also an absolute world-wide finding, the patent being granted in the USA, December 1998.

Prof. Manzatu is a member of the European Physical Society and has won the Romanian Academy’s Awards for Physics (1973). He is included in ”Who’s Who in the World (since 1981), ”Men of Achievement” (since 1983) and was declared an International Man of the Year (1991/1992)  Cambridge, England.
